Custom short links you choose the wording for
A random code tells nobody anything. With EditURLink you decide what comes after the slash, so the link itself explains where it goes.
Examples worth copying
- editurlink.com/menu — the current menu on a café table card.
- editurlink.com/summer — a seasonal promotion page.
- editurlink.com/book — your booking form.
- editurlink.com/friday-quiz — one recurring event.
Why readable links get clicked
People decide in a second whether a link looks safe. Wording they recognise reads as trustworthy, survives being read out loud on a phone call, and fits neatly on a poster or business card.
Pick the name once, keep it forever
Because destinations are editable, a name like editurlink.com/offer can point at this month's promotion and next month's without being reprinted. Need dozens at once? Use bulk CSV creation.
Questions people ask
- What characters can I use in a custom short name?
- Lowercase letters, numbers and dashes, with at least three characters. Spaces and capitals are converted automatically.
- What if the short name is already taken?
- Short names are unique across the domain, so you will be asked to choose another. A few names are reserved for EditURLink's own pages.
- Can I use my own domain?
- Not yet. Links are created on the shared editurlink.com domain during the beta.
